Following a strong performance in 2022, the recently reimagined Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC) is kicking off 2023 on a high note with a new event space and restaurant on its campus designed to immerse meeting and event guests in 1920s Florida.

Meet AC, Atlantic City's destination, meetings and events marketing organization, rebranded as Visit Atlantic City to enhance the destination's appeal among event professionals as an ideal place to gather for business while also experiencing all that it has to offer. 

The initiative comes on the heels of a successful 2022 in terms of meetings, conventions and trade shows, and the organization is eyeing another positive year of business for 2023.   

The Seattle Convention Center (SCC) is gearing up to host opening celebrations on Jan. 25 for Summit, its $2 billion high-rise convention center in downtown Seattle. With 573,770 square feet of event space, the addition nearly doubles the capacity of the SCC.

Waldorf Astoria Cancun recently debuted as one of the Mexican Caribbean’s most upscale options for meetings and events. The resort is Hilton Hotels and Resorts’ 200th property in the Caribbean and Latin America, the first Waldorf Astoria in the Mexican Caribbean and the second in Mexico.

Over the course of each year, the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) in Orlando, Fla., routinely works with sustainably minded clients to help them donate leftover food and unwanted materials after their events. With food and event waste still a glaring problem at many trade shows and conferences, this charitable effort not only helps keep leftover food and event items out of landfill, but also helps positively impact local community nonprofits working to combat hunger and assist those in need. 

The Tahoe Douglas Visitors Authority (TDVA) and Oak View Group (OVG), the global venue development, advisory and investment company for the sports and live entertainment industries, have secured an exclusive multi-year naming rights agreement with Tahoe Blue Vodka for a new live entertainment, sports and conference center on the south shore of Lake Tahoe.
