Tri-branded Hilton Hotel Opens at Chicago’s McCormick Place

August 20, 2018

Dual-branded hotels are becoming more and more prevalent. What can beat a dual-brand? A triple brand! Hilton has made new advances in the market, opening the world’s first tri-branded Hilton in Chicago.

The new property, which includes Hilton Garden Inn Chicago McCormick Place, Hampton Inn by Hilton Chicago McCormick Place and Home2 Suites by Hilton Chicago McCormick Place, is connected to McCormick Place, adjacent to Wintrust Arena.

Located just minutes from downtown Chicago, McCormick Place is North America’s largest convention center, featuring 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space and attracting close to 3 million visitors each year.

The 23-story tri-branded hotel includes 184 Hilton Garden Inn rooms, 187 Hampton Inn rooms and 95 suites within the Home2 Suites, as well as a skybridge providing guests with convenient access to McCormick Place.

The hotel contains 10 meeting rooms totaling nearly 7,000 square feet, the majority of which can accommodate up to 65 attendees set theater-style. There are also two pre-function spaces for groups wishing to hold breaks or set up registration tables. The tri-branded property’s meeting facilities are located on the third floor, which is also conveniently attached to McCormick Place via climate controlled indoor sky bridge.

In addition to the on-property Starbucks coffee shop, two restaurants will be opening on-premises in the Fall: VU Skyward Bev & Eat is a rooftop lounge and restaurant that will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and Fatpour Tapworks, a street-level pub and grill will feature an eclectic selection of menu items including more than 220 beers.

The hotel, which will be managed by First Hospitality Group, also provides large communal areas shared between the three brands, plus amenities such as an expanded exercise room, indoor pool and 24-hour business center.

“This tri-brand hotel will serve as a convenient ‘one-stop-shop’ for convention-goers looking to rest and recharge or enjoy the local flavors of Chicago while remaining just steps from their convention events,” said First Hospitality Group, Inc. founder and chairman, Stephen Schwartz.

Hilton Garden Inn Chicago McCormick Place offers complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and cooked-to-order breakfast. Guest rooms feature the brand's signature bedding and an in-room "hospitality center" with a mini fridge, microwave oven, and fresh coffee from an in-room Keurig® coffeemaker.

Hampton Inn by Hilton Chicago McCormick Place includes complimentary Wi-Fi and free hot breakfasts, including an on-the-go option.

Home2 Suites by Hilton Chicago McCormick Place provides all-suite accommodations featuring fully-equipped kitchens and modular furniture. The in-suite kitchen includes a sink, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator and freezer, microwave, cookware, plates, cups and utensils. The hotel also features complimentary Internet, communal spaces, and trademark Home2 Suites by Hilton amenities such as a Home2 MKT for grab-and-go items, and the Inspired Table, a complimentary breakfast that includes more than 400 potential combinations.

“It is a great option for guests traveling with larger groups or extended families, as everyone can stay under one roof despite having varied preferences on room-type and price-point,” said Schwartz.
