May 26, 2022

The highly anticipated Omni PGA Frisco Resort, located 30 miles north of Dallas, is on track to be unveiled in spring 2023 and has opened for group booking requests for events starting in June 2023 and beyond.

“With group meetings and events returning quickly, we are eager to share our exciting new resort for groups to consider,” said Jeff Smith, vice president and managing director for Omni PGA Frisco Resort. “Omni PGA Frisco is excited to see the role it will play being a state-of-the-art meetings destination in Texas.”

He added, “This extraordinary resort, in partnership with PGA of America and the City of Frisco, will become a beacon within the community and country, creating the modern home of golf.”

The massive luxury property, the largest resort currently in development in the country, will feature 500 guest rooms and suites, 10 four-bedroom ranch houses, three pools (including an adults-only rooftop infinity pool), a destination spa, a wealth of space for groups and top-drawer golf facilities.

The property will boast more than 127,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a 22,000-sq.-ft. Grand Ballroom, complemented by a 11,500-sq.-ft. Junior Ballroom. In addition, the resort will have a 5,000-sq.-ft. event pavilion, which will offer an elegantly rustic setting, seamlessly integrated with an adjoining patio and event lawn.

Designed to be a cutting-edge home of American golf, the resort will offer two 18-hole championship courses designed by Gil Hanse and Beau Welling, a lighted 10-hole short course, a two-acre putting green, a lounge by Topgolf and a PGA Frisco coaching center, in addition to a retail and entertainment district featuring dining, shopping and an outdoor stage for concerts and other outdoor programming.

When open, the resort will play host to the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship and 26 additional championships scheduled in Frisco through 2034, including two PGA Championship events and the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

Omni PGA Frisco Resort is part of the 660-acre, $520 million mixed-use campus that also includes the new home of the PGA Headquarters, which opened in April. The entire development is designed to deliver innovative and differentiated experiences for 28,000 PGA Golf Professionals and golfers of all abilities as well as the general public and is expected to be a boon for the local economy and the destination’s tourism, meetings and events business.

Group booking requests can be made via Omni PGA Frisco Resort’s group sales team at (469) 305-4545 or DALPGA.leads@omnihotels.com.
