January 8, 2018

On Jan. 3, midtown Nashville’s 180-room Kimpton Aertson Hotel completed its 17th floor indoor and outdoor event venue, Woodlea. The nearly 4,500 square foot rooftop showcases 270-degree panoramic views of downtown Nashville and Vanderbilt’s campus and can accommodate up to 150 guests.

Woodlea’s addition rounds out Kimpton Aertson’s meeting and event space with more than 10,000 sq. ft of flexible indoor and outdoor meetings and events space on its 8th and 17th floors. For large meetings and group events, the hotel’s Patterson Ballroom features 3,200 sq. ft of floor-to-ceiling windows, which can seat up to 450 people theater style, and a large wrap-around private outdoor terrace.

All rooms on the designated meeting floors feature large, bright space with views of either downtown or Vanderbilt’s campus. For smaller meetings or events, the hotel also offers private, more intimate rooms in Henley’s restaurant and several studios.

Planners hosting events at Kimpton Aertson can choose from personalized, locally-sourced catering menus from James Beard award-winner RJ Cooper, the executive chef of Henley’s, Kimpton Aertson’s onsite restaurant.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to now offer this exclusive skyline space in addition to our existing meeting and event amenities on the 8th floor,” said Chantelle Nikkel, Kimpton Aertson’s director of sales and marketing.

She added, “From the tailored chef-driven menus to the unobstructed views of downtown, we offer something special and authentic for planners and attendees.”

The hotel is located in Aertson Midtown, a new mixed-use community within walking distance of Vanderbilt University and Nashville’s famed Music Row that also features apartment residences and 35,000 sq. ft of prime retail space.
