Hyatt Expands Luxury and Lifestyle Portfolio With 20 New, Renovated and Rebranded Hotels Across the Americas

October 8, 2024

With 1,350 hotels and all-inclusive properties in 78 countries across six continents already in its portfolio, Hyatt Hotels Corp. is significantly expanding its luxury and lifestyle brand footprint with more than 20 new and planned property openings across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean through 2025.

When asked about total meeting and event space at these new hotels, Hyatt told us eight properties offer more than 250,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The two largest: the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Villas features more than 88,000 square feet of modern and versatile indoor and outdoor space, while the Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort offers more than 75,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space—from spacious ballrooms to manicured lawns and gardens.

As event planners increasingly seek immersive and distinctive venues, Hyatt's growing portfolio offers enhanced options across prime destinations. New properties, like the Thompson Palm Springs and the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, bring reimagined luxury to the table with cutting-edge design, top-tier amenities, and a focus on creating unforgettable experiences for business events.

Why It Matters for Event Planners

Expanded Venue Options: Hyatt’s growth means more diverse luxury and lifestyle hotels to consider for events, particularly in high-demand markets like Florida, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

Enhanced Wellbeing Offerings: Hyatt’s focus on wellness extends to its collaboration with brands like Peloton, Headspace, and MasterClass, offering event planners the ability to integrate holistic wellbeing experiences into meetings and incentives programs.

New Loyalty Benefits: World of Hyatt members can now redeem points at an expanded range of properties, including boutique hotels, outdoor resorts, and newly added lifestyle brands like The Standard. This provides planners with more options for loyalty-based rewards and packages.

Hyatt’s continued expansion provides new opportunities for event planners to tap into luxury offerings and unique locations that enhance both the attendee experience and event success.
