Hotel News: Grand Hyatt Miami Beach Hotel Will Soon Take Shape Next to MBCC

April 28, 2025

Miami Beach is taking a major step forward in growing its status as a premier destination for meetings andlarge-scale events with its first dedicated convention hotel, Grand Hyatt Miami Beach.

Backed by TYKO Capital and supported by a $75 million grant from the Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency, South Florida developers Terra and Turnberry recently secured $392 million in construction financing to build the 800-room, 17-story hotel, which will soon begin rising adjacent to the Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC).

With pre-construction sitework already completed, the financing paves the way for the project’s groundbreaking, with completion slated for late 2027.
