Guidebook Launches Integrations and Open API for Mobile App Platform

February 26, 2018

Guidebook, Inc. has launched new Integrations and an Open API that enables event planners and organizations to seamlessly connect CRM, event registration and marketing automation software with their mobile event apps.

A self-service event app builder platform, Guidebook makes it easy for users to create, customize and manage mobile apps for events of all types and sizes using simple, built-in features and templates.

According to Guidebook officials, the company’s plug-and-play Integrations further extend the mobile app platform’s ease of use without the need for developer resources to connect the event app with the third-party technology event planners already use, while the new Guidebook Open API enables development teams to control data flow into and out of Guidebook’s intuitive app builder tool.

“Mobile event apps can be the single most important tool to bring structure and insight to the unstructured happenings of an event – everything from social interactions to responses to a live poll, but too often, organizations lack the resources to efficiently capture and derive meaning from that data,” explained Jeff Lewis, CEO and co-founder of Guidebook.

He continued, “As companies increasingly look to event data to inform critical marketing and sales decisions, Guidebook Integrations serve as a foundational step to simplify the process and drive consistent, accurate data across the business.”

The new out-of-the-box Integrations include Salesforce and Eventbrite, which help organizations without access to a development team to automate tasks and save time when connecting third-party systems to the Guidebook platform.

By quickly making sense of unstructured event, attendee and engagement data, Guidebook Integrations help marketing, sales and event teams eliminate the hassle, errors and overhead of manual data entry.

Integrations enables event managers to easily sync pre-existing event registration data including attendee profiles/lists, schedule information and custom lists into the mobile app platform, as well as export attendee profiles and user engagement metrics from Guidebook into third-party systems including Salesforce CRM for post-event sales and marketing purposes.

Additional Integrations with Cvent, etouches, MailChimp and Marketo are on the horizon, according to Guidebook officials.

“Now event-driven organizations – especially those in the pharmaceutical, financial services and technology industries – can maximize their investments in existing SaaS technologies to enhance marketing-assisted sales efforts and more effectively communicate with prospects and customers,” said Lewis.

He added, “Whether it’s creating a targeted marketing campaign to follow up with attendees or generate new sales leads, the ability to quickly capture and act on event data is essential to more successfully attract, retain, cross-sell and upsell customers.”

The Guidebook Open API and Integrations are available immediately and free of charge to Guidebook customers.
