DoubleTree by Hilton Burlington Vermont Opens, Plans Conference Center Renovations

February 8, 2018

DoubleTree by Hilton Burlington Vermont, a 309-room, full-service, conference center hotel, located just five minutes from downtown Burlington and the city's major attractions, including the Burlington airport, is the latest addition to the portfolio of DoubleTree by Hilton.

The hotel is the largest conference center between Boston and Montreal, with more than 30,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting and event space.  The space, which includes the 12,480 sq. ft. Lake Champlain Exhibition Hall, two large ballrooms, each of which is divisible into smaller sections, an amphitheater, and a number of small meeting and boardrooms can easily accommodate groups of up to 1,000 attendees.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Burlington completed major renovations in January, including a redesign of its front entrance façade, public spaces (including front desk area/lobby) and restaurant outlets. The hotel's conference space will be undergoing renovations later this year with an anticipated completion in Q3 of 2018.

"DoubleTree by Hilton Burlington Vermont offers the perfect New England destination, conveniently located close to the scenic shores of Lake Champlain, majestic Green Mountains, world-class skiing and the picturesque city of Burlington," said Shawn McAteer, global head and senior vice president, DoubleTree by Hilton.

High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Other amenities include complimentary parking for guests, and a complimentary shuttle service with a two-mile radius of the hotel – which includes the Burlington International Airport.

Two restaurants are located on-property, and many others are within walking distance. G's Restaurant, located in the hotel's "Summerhouse" four-story atrium and courtyard, offers hearty American breakfast fare and buffet offerings, while Tuckaways Pub, open for both lunch and dinner, offers a relaxed tavern-style atmosphere with microbrews on tap.

The hotel is close to all of Burlington's cultural, historic and recreational attractions, including the Flynn Theater Center for the Performing Arts, University of Vermont, Shelburne Museum, Ethan Allen Homestead and Lake Champlain Cruises. The nearby Church Street Marketplace and University Mall provide ample opportunities for shopping.

To celebrate the hotel's opening, Hilton Honors members who stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Burlington Vermont between Jan. 26 and May 31, 2018 will earn an additional 1,000 Hilton Honors Points per night.
