Delano Transforms into W Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay

Marking the latest development in the long-term strategic licensing agreement between MGM Resorts International and Marriott International, the W Las Vegas hotel recently made its debut at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Now part of the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy, the resort’s 1,117-suite tower––formerly known as the Delano hotel––has transitioned into the globally recognized W Hotels brand. 

The W hotel is the latest in the collaboration between the two companies since first announcing their partnership in 2023 and launching the MGM Collection in March 2024

The introduction of W Las Vegas signifies a new chapter for MGM Resorts, offering guests a sophisticated all-suite luxury lifestyle experience, according to MGM Resorts officials.

Marriott Bonvoy members are now able to book stays at the Las Vegas Strip destination and earn or redeem points, according to MGM officials. 

With the addition of W Las Vegas, the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy now includes 12 destinations on the Las Vegas Strip, including Bellagio, ARIA Resort & Casino, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, and Mandalay Bay.

Since its launch, the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy has welcomed hundreds of thousands of new guests to MGM Resorts properties, according to resort officials. This collaboration provides more than 200 million Marriott Bonvoy members with exclusive benefits and opportunities to redeem points at MGM Resorts across the U.S. Additionally, MGM Rewards members can enjoy status matching and benefits at Marriott’s global portfolio of approximately 9,000 properties. 

Further details about enhancements planned for W Las Vegas will be announced in the near future, according to MGM officials. 

As the fifth largest convention center in the U.S., the Mandalay Bay Convention Center offers 2.1 million gross square feet of meeting and exhibit space.
