MPI and Meetings Mean Business Coalition Partner for Global Meetings Industry Day Virtual Event
There are a number of events and activities taking place globally to celebrate Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) on Apr. 12. However, many event professionals won’t have the ability to attend these face-to-face events. To help bring the celebration to you, Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and the Meetings Mean Business Coalition (MMBC) are collaborating to present a free, 12-hour livestream of GMID events taking place around the world.
The GMID Virtual Event will begin at 6 a.m. CDT on Thursday, Apr. 12 and will conclude at 6 p.m. CDT. This inaugural broadcast is designed to demonstrate the power, reach and scale of the global meetings industry, and will feature interviews with industry leaders, behind the scenes content, CMP-eligible educational sessions and more.
The GMID Virtual Event agenda will be posted over the next two weeks prior to the event and will be available on the Meetings Mean Business list of GMID global events. Face-to-face events are also being added on an ongoing basis, so be sure to periodically check the list to see if there is an event in a city near you.
The Mexico Tourism Board is sponsoring the virtual event and ensuring that participants will be able to access the free livestream at any time throughout the day. Don’t worry if you can’t catch it all live: the event will also be recorded and made available for on-demand viewing – but you will need to be registered for the livestream to gain access to the recording.
Don’t forget to submit your video clip for the 2018 GMID Anthem by March 31!
