1. Location and Initial Opening
Located just outside Phoenix about 20 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) and one mile from the Glendale Municipal Airport (KGEU/GEU), VAI Resort is situated in an emerging entertainment hub within the Phoenix metropolitan area, said Kirkman. Located just south of State Farm Stadium, home to the Arizona Cardinals and iconic events like the Super Bowl and Final Four, it offers a prime spot for both entertainment and business. The resort's initial phase will open in Q4 2025, featuring an 11,000-seat amphitheater and a hotel tower with more than 300 rooms.
2. Resort Design and Distinctive Features
A standout feature of VAI Resort is its pool design, which is seamlessly woven throughout the property, providing guests with an unparalleled beach experience in Arizona's desert landscape. The pool design includes Konos Island, designed to offer a vibrant island party setting.
The resort will expand to include a total of 1,100 rooms across four distinct hotel towers, each offering a variety of accommodations, from standard rooms to luxurious villas. The VAI Villas, for example, range from 1,100 to 5,300 square feet, catering to those seeking expansive space and privacy.
3. Meeting and Convention Spaces
VAI Resort's extensive meeting and convention facilities reflect its commitment to serving business groups. The west end of the resort will host the conference center, offering 150,000 square feet of versatile meeting space, including 90,000 square feet of conventional ballroom space and 35,000 square feet of rooftop venues.
For those seeking a non-traditional setting, the resort offers 25,000 square feet of alternative meeting environments, providing unique group experiences, such as renting a beach or an island for exclusive events.
4. Entertainment and Amenities
Beyond meetings, the resort promises vibrancy and entertainment whether it’s a corporate event or leisure. The amphitheater and indoor theater space (capable of accommodating up to 2,000 people) provide venues for performances and product launches. Moreover, the resort will boast 12 restaurants, three featuring celebrity chefs unique to Arizona, as well as 70,000 square feet of retail space for bespoke shopping experiences.
Additional facilities such as a 20,000 square foot spa and wellness center will cater to guests seeking relaxation and rejuvenation. Whether indulging in a culinary adventure or unwinding at the spa, guests will find numerous avenues for relaxation and enjoyment.
5. A Fresh Canvas for Creativity
As an independent property, VAI Resort is open to collaborations and creative ideas from planners. From hosting a cooking demonstration on the beach to other unique event setups, the resort’s team, equipped with seasoned professionals from renowned hospitality backgrounds, is ready to bring compelling visions to life.
6. Vision and Investment
With a billion-dollar investment, VAI Resort reflects the vision of its co-owner, Grant Fisher, a third-generation leader of Fisher Industries. With meticulous attention to detail to ensure an exceptional experience for both guests and artists who perform there, the venue is designed to foster memorable meetings and events, offering much more than the average corporate setting.
7. Ideal Clients and Prospects
VAI Resort is targeting corporate groups and incentive meetings, especially in the medical and technology industries. The facility could be a new option for those wishing to showcase products in a unique and engaging environment.
