New Solution Aims to End Awkward Event Networking

As in-person events continue their post-pandemic resurgence, corporate event planners are grappling with a familiar challenge: delivering meaningful networking experiences that live up to attendees’ expectations—and drive measurable value. Now, Bizzabo is stepping in with a new solution designed to help.
The event tech company has officially launched its Integrated Networking Suite, a fully embedded feature set within its Event Experience Operating System. The goal: Make networking seamless, intelligent, and central to the event experience—instead of a fragmented afterthought.
According to Bizzabo’s 2025 State of Events Report, 72% of attendees believe in-person conferences offer the best opportunity to network—but only 30% felt satisfied with the connections they made at their most recent event. That gap underscores a key pain point for planners who know connection drives ROI but often face platform fatigue and data silos when trying to deliver it.
“Content alone no longer fills seats—people are coming to build relationships,” said Alon Alroy, co-founder and CMO of Bizzabo. “Our integrated networking suite addresses this head-on, helping organizers drive engagement, deliver measurable value to sponsors, and increase attendee satisfaction.”

AI That Understands Attendees
Bizzabo’s new networking tools are fueled by AI that draws on the full attendee journey—from registration data to content engagement and expressed interests. This powers smarter matchmaking, so attendees connect with the people who matter most to them.

Other key features include:
- Data-rich matchmaking powered by machine learning
- Seamless web and mobile scheduling
- Customizable locations and time blocks to avoid conflicts with key sessions
- Unified management across a single platform
By embedding networking directly into the event operating system, Bizzabo eliminates the need for third-party tools—simplifying the attendee experience and giving organizers a single source of truth for all interactions.

Why It Matters for Corporate Event Planners
For planners managing executive roundtables, field marketing activations, customer summits, or internal sales kickoffs, networking isn’t just a nice-to-have. It’s often the primary driver of business outcomes—from deal acceleration to partner alignment and customer loyalty.

This launch signals a bigger industry shift: from treating networking as a feature to treating it as a strategic pillar of event design. For Bizzabo, the integration is about delivering not just logistical convenience, but higher engagement, stronger ROI, and a more connected attendee journey.
Q&A with Bizzabo Co-Founder & CMO Alon Alroy

We caught up with Alroy to find out more about its applications for corporate events.
Tormohlen: How does your AI-driven matchmaking engine differentiate itself from other platforms — and what specific data points influence the connections it recommends?
Alroy: The biggest difference between our AI matchmaking engine and others is that ours is available natively within our broader event management platform, meaning that the type and amount of attendee data we have access to is far richer than a siloed, third-party app. The AI engine considers a variety of inputs to generate its matchmaking recommendations. First, it looks at the attendee’s unified data profile – everything the organizer has access to. Again, since it is part of our broader event management platform, this data might include past events they registered for, sessions they attended, or content they interacted with. Then, the attendee’s basic profile is enriched with more information about their industry, location, and more. Finally, this data is combined with user-generated data (profile, interests) to generate the best matches. This model will keep evolving alongside our robust AI roadmap for 2025.
Tormohlen: How have early adopters in the corporate event space used the networking suite to boost attendee satisfaction or drive business outcomes?
Alroy: Early adopters in the corporate event space have used Bizzabo’s networking suite to facilitate high-quality connections at their events. By enabling attendees to build rich profiles, filter matches by interest or role, and schedule 1:1 meetings directly within the app, organizers have seen a meaningful boost in attendee satisfaction and engagement.
Sponsors are also driving better business outcomes by proactively connecting with high-intent leads through messaging and meetings. Instead of relying on chance encounters at booths, they're leveraging targeted discovery and profile features to proactively meet with attendees who match their target profile.
Tormohlen: Can you share examples of how this platform helps quantify networking ROI—not just in connections made, but in deals closed or partnerships formed?
Alroy: Organizers can use Bizzabo’s native reporting on our networking tools in conjunction with our robust CRM integrations to track how many sponsor meetings led to follow-up conversations, pipeline activity, closed deals, or partnerships formed.
