Marriott International Opens New Luxury Dual-Branded Le Méridien and AC Hotel in Downtown Denver

October 4, 2017

Marriott International just opened its first-ever luxury dual-branded hotel in downtown Denver, bringing two lauded European-inspired brands to the city: Le Méridien and AC Hotels by Marriott. The new development, owned and managed by White Lodging Services Corporation, is designed to deliver two distinct experiences under a single roof.

Le Méridien Denver Downtown offers a clean mid-century modern design and features the brand’s signature Le Méridien Hub lobby, which acts as a social gathering place serving coffee during the day and cocktails at The Lobbyist bar in the evening.

The hotel includes 272 thoughtfully-designed guestrooms and suites that employ a cool grey color palette with striking and surprising accent color combinations reminiscent of blue skies, green aspens, sunset orange and crimson.

Le Méridien Denver Downtown can host five to five hundred or more attendees. The 12,000 square feet of meeting space includes five breakout rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, a 5,700-square-foot ballroom which can be divided into three sections, and 3,500 square feet of foyer space with natural lighting.

Also available to reserve for events is 54thirty, the city’s highest open-air seasonal rooftop bar, which offers unparalleled views of the city and the Rocky Mountains. 54thirty can hold up to 70 attendees for private events.

In addition to The Lobbyist bar and 54thirty rooftop bar, the hotel also is home to Corinne, a new restaurant serving classic American comfort food with an emphasis on locally-sourced ingredients.

The property currently is offering a special Grand Opening Event Offer to planners who book a group meeting or social event by Oct. 31 and host between Nov. 1 – March 31. In order to qualify, groups must guarantee 30+ sleeping rooms on peak night and a minimum of $5,000 in food and beverage.

For meetings requiring additional sleeping rooms, the new 223-room AC Hotel by Marriott Denver Downtown is the lifestyle brand’s first property to open in Denver. Introduced to the U.S. in 2014, the AC Hotel by Marriott brand originated in Europe in 2011 as a joint venture with Spanish hotelier, Antonio Catalan, and now offers a portfolio of over 100 hotels in countries across Europe, Latin America and North America.

Conveniently located on the same property, the AC Hotel feels like a modern ski lodge, with peaked roofs, strong lines, geometric language, and a bold interior.

"With more than 10,000 square feet of flexible event space, floor-to-ceiling windows in several meeting rooms and a huge ballroom with state-of-the-art technology, the dual-branded Le Méridien + AC Hotels by Marriott in Denver is an ideal venue for corporate events and meetings,” says Christy DeSiato, director of sales and marketing, Le Méridien Denver Downtown and AC Hotel by Marriott Denver Downtown.

DeSiato added, “Located just two blocks from the Colorado Convention Center, the properties are also within walking distance to Denver’s cultural attractions including the Clyfford Still Museum where Le Méridien guests can enjoy a complimentary visit during their stay through the brand’s Unlock Art program.”

The special offer from Clyfford Still Museum is just one of the local partners tapped to provide special guest experiences. Others include the Real Dill, Bee Squared Apiaries, Renegade Brewery, Colorado Cider Company, Laws Whiskey House, and The Infinite Monkey Theorem Urban Winery.

Le Méridien Denver Downtown and AC Hotel by Marriott Denver Downtown is located at the center of the city’s business district at 15th and California. The hotels are steps away from Denver’s 16th Street entertainment promenade, and five blocks from the Colorado State Capital building and the city’s arts and culture district.

Leading attractions, including the LoDo Historic District, the Denver Performing Arts Complex, and sports venues such as Pepsi Center, Coors Field and Sports Authority Field at Mile High – home of the NFL’s Denver Broncos, are also nearby.
