IBTM Americas this week announced details of a virtual summit that will take place Aug. 25-26. The interactive digital experience will be hosted on the Go To Webcast platform and will bring together 16 speakers to share topical insights and learnings that will provide tangible benefits for attendees, all under the theme of “humanizing the change."

The complimentary virtual summit will be run in both Spanish and English to allow for the global reach of the IBTM Americas audience, and will cover subject matters including event finance, sustainable events, event planning, innovation and creativity, marketing and branding, event production, leadership and motivation, and customer service.

Speakers include international tenor José Manuel Zapata, whose session is “Treble Clef, notes for happiness;” Nicolás Celis, producer of the movie “Roma” from Pimienta Films; and Irene Lane, founder of Greenloons, who will present a session titled “Sustainability Sells! A human-centered guide to responsible event planning.” Attendees will receive a certificate of participation, downloadable resources and simultaneous translation into English / Spanish.

“The unprecedented situation with the effects of the pandemic has forced the business events industry to evolve quickly, accelerating the integration of technology into events, with a pivot to virtual events and a longer-term move towards the hybridization of events,” said IBTM Americas Virtual Summit Show Director David Hidalgo.

He continued, “This virtual summit will provide event professionals with insights and key learnings, invaluable as they adapt for the future. The event will also act as a means of bringing together our community in recognition of the fact human connections and shared experiences are central to our industry. Even though we can’t meet in person at IBTM Americas this year, we can still celebrate our continued passion for events.”
