Hotel News: Caesars Palace Las Vegas Debuts Newly Renovated, Roman-Inspired Colosseum Tower

November 21, 2023

Caesars Palace Las Vegas recently renovated one of its five hotel towers to better reflect its Roman roots. Formerly known as the Forum Tower, the transformed Colosseum Tower offers more than 400 redesigned guest rooms and suites featuring classically inspired yet modern décor.

Designed by Michael Medeiros of RDH Interests Inc., the Colosseum Tower’s enhanced accommodations feature interiors with high contrasts of black and white, color accents that include pops of emerald inspired by the jewelry worn by the late Cleopatra and splashes of Roman red throughout the custom artwork and furniture.

“Caesars Palace is known for its spectacular designs and unique offerings that make every visit to Las Vegas unforgettable,” said Terrence O’Donnell, Caesars Palace senior vice president and general manager. “We are excited to welcome visitors to the Colosseum Tower, where they can experience a new level of comfort and luxury fit for a Caesar while enjoying our incredible dining, entertainment and gaming options throughout the resort.”

What’s new

New guest room features include an upholstered headboard panel with inset mirrors that add a luxurious element to the space, a dresser unit with a premium glass-front mini bar, a round table that doubles as a desk, a Klismos-inspired dining chair and a Roman-style chaise lounge in the standard king room.

The tower’s renovated bathrooms boast linear veined Marmara Striato marble floors imported from Europe, white quartz vanity tops and accent bands in glass-enclosed showers, and in the separate water closet, hand-sketched drawings of various Greek and Roman classical orders of architectural columns adorn the walls. Additionally, dark wood vanities add a rich contrast to the white walls and striated marble.

With select rooms offering views of the Las Vegas Strip, suites start at 800 square feet, and larger room layouts include a living room with a couch, coffee table, chair and a dining or pool table. Suite guests can also enjoy a soaking tub in the primary bathroom.

The tower’s makeover is the latest in a series of renovations completed this year at the resort, including the original main entrance, main casino and porte-cochère, redesigned gaming areas and a new lobby bar.

Adjacent to Dominique Ansel Las Vegas and across from The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, the Colosseum Tower is now available for reservations.
