Harrah's Resort Atlantic City Announces Plans for $56 Million Coastal Tower

December 6, 2018

Harrah's Resort Atlantic City has announced plans for a $56 million guest room and suite renovation in its Coastal Tower. The room and suite upgrades are part of Caesars Entertainment's total investment of over $250 million into its Atlantic City casino-resorts over the last four years.

Harrah's Resort Atlantic City will re-design and enhance 507 guest rooms and suites in the current Harbour Tower, partnering with a local design house, MPM Studios.

"Building on the recent success of our world-class Waterfront Conference Center which is the largest hotel-conference center complex from Baltimore to Boston within driving distance of one-third of the U.S. population, we are thrilled to announce the news of the Coastal Tower renovation to continue to provide an enhanced experience for our meeting planners, attendees and all guests," said Steve van der Molen, vice president meetings operation, Atlantic City region, Caesars Entertainment.

The new 450-square-foot Coastal rooms will offer design similar in aesthetics to the resort's Bayview rooms, and will feature lavender and blue accents, contrasting white and gray tones, and contemporary furniture. Bathrooms will include oversized showers and signature amenities.

All Coastal rooms will offer high-speed internet with both wired and wireless and accessible charging stations, in addition to 55-inch LG LED televisions.

The Waterfront Conference Center at Harrah's Resort Atlantic City features 125,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, including 63 individual meeting rooms ranging in size from 506 to 13,475 sq. ft. and three ballroom spaces, including two 50,000-square-foot pillarless ballrooms that each have an additional 26,000 sq. ft. of pre-function space.

The venue also features some special meeting options. Harrah’s Concert Venue, seating 1,200, offers a state-of-the art theater environment. The Viking Cooking School combines a hands-on teaching kitchen and a gourmet toy store full of the finest culinary tools available. And for special events, planners can also choose to use the tropical themed glass-domed pool area.

For dining, Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City features a number of restaurants, including Martorano's, Gordon Ramsay Steak, Veracruz, and McCormick & Schmick's Seafood and galleria shopping at the Waterfront Shops. For relaxation and entertainment, guests can visit the on-property Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa.

Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City offers 2,586 guest rooms in total. The first phase of the newly-renovated Coastal Tower is set to debut in early 2019. The renovations are expected to be completed in their entirety by summer 2019.
