ExhibitDay Launches Free B2B SaaS Event Planning and Task Management Tool

October 16, 2019

Trade show organizers and exhibitors now have a simple, easy-to-use tool to help them manage their events and collaborate with their teams – for free. Officially unveiled last month, ExhibitDay is a B2B SaaS event planning and task management tool designed to help organizers and exhibitors manage their trade shows, expo booths, travel plans and budgets, all in one place.

Specifically tailored for small to medium-sized show teams attending approximately 10-100 trade shows per year, ExhibitDay comes in the free or “Lite” version as well as Professional and Premium versions that offer more advanced tools and fewer usage restrictions for a monthly fee.

According to Paul Golriz, founder of ExhibitDay, while there are many cloud-based event technology solutions available on the market today, they are almost all exclusively focused on the event management side of the industry.

“On the exhibitor side, there are only a handful of trade show planning solutions available, most of which are enterprise-grade offerings that are not very cost-effective for small trade show teams, and are gated by sales reps and onboarding processes,” Golriz said. “As a result, smaller teams with smaller budgets are left under-served. That’s why we set out to build ExhibitDay as a simple, free, self-service trade show planning tool for smaller trade show teams.”

ExhibitDay’s key features enable users to do the following:

  1. Track and manage trade show and exhibit information
  2. Track event attendees and their travel reservations
  3. Manage booth reservations, booth services and shipments
  4. Track event sponsorships, costs and expenses
  5. Collaborate on event team tasks and to-do lists
  6. Coordinate event team schedules before, during and after each trade show
  7. Synchronize events, tasks and schedules with third-party calendaring apps such as Google Calendar, Apple Calendar and Outlook
  8. Oversee annual budgeting, fund allocation, ROI measurement and engagement analytics
  9. Customize fields and data points tracked for each event
  10. Leverage granular access-control and robust user management tools

Under development since 2018 and in beta form since January of this year, ExhibitDay has been vetted by nearly 1,000 beta testers consisting of show organizers, event managers and exhibitors who worked with the Washington D.C. area-based company to develop and fine-tune its myriad features.

Carrie Hart, head of conference logistics at ItsaCheckmate.com, was one of those testers. Hart manages exhibits at multiple restaurant and restaurant tech conferences and trade shows each year, including the National Restaurant Association Show, the International Pizza Expo and the Restaurant Leadership Conference.  She began using ExhibitDay in July 2019 to keep track of event team details including tracking spending, establishing annual budgets and viewing event ROI.

Hart said one of her favorite aspects of the tool is the ability to have one convenient, user-friendly place to keep her team updated and informed, as well as assign tasks and deadlines.

“It is truly a comprehensive, easy-to-use tool for everything associated with conferences,” Hart said. “Since it caters to the nuances of the job, it works better than a traditional project management tool.”

She added, “It streamlines your logistics and saves so much time. We look forward to planning our events with ExhibitDay in the years to come!”

In the upcoming months, ExhibitDay plans to focus its efforts on developing new features and increasing its integrations with third-party tools such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics and other CRM solutions.
