Event Leaders Exchange to Host Professional Community on Hubilo Platform

December 9, 2022

Event Leaders Exchange (ELX) has partnered with Hubilo, a world-class leader in virtual and hybrid event management technology, to host the ELX Community by providing the premier virtual place for event leaders to come together.

ELX is a professional community that brings together the most senior corporate event leaders of large global organizations and convenes to share ideas, receive industry insights, solve problems and engage in powerful, actionable conversations.

“As soon as I heard about the ELX community I was excited to learn more,” said Sophie Ahmed, senior vice president of market strategy at Hubilo.  “It is a fantastic industry initiative, bringing together senior corporate event leaders to share best practices and tackle important topics such as sustainability, DEIB, people, culture and data."

The global peer-to-peer insights network is on a mission to drive top-down change within the events industry.

ELX will help shape the future of the industry, according to Ahmed, who said she is delighted that Hubilo is their platform partner and that the company is able to play a significant role.

ELX is thrilled to have Hubilo onboard and to use its platform to level up the organization’s community offering outside of its in-person and virtual events, according to Chloe Richardson, managing director of ELX.

“When we launched ELX in 2021, it was a goal of the ELX team to partner with like-minded event vendors,” Richardson said. “By having leading event suppliers such as Hubilo, we’re able to offer the community further opportunities to grow, engage and share insights regularly.”

The partnership brings together a global community and gives ELX a virtual presence when unable to meet in-person. With Hubilo, ELX has a 365-degree touchpoint with peers, according to Richardson, which ultimately allows for conversation and networking outside ELX’s flagship in-person events and virtual think tank meetings.

The ELX professional community of senior global event professionals was started as a collaboration between events industry veterans Kimberly Meyer, David Kliman, Chloe Richardson and Mark Brewster, initially as a series of invitation-only think tanks and has since been expanded to include in-person roundtable sessions, research, whitepapers and cross-industry virtual meetings.

The ELX offering has been shaped by its impressive steering committee, which features global event heads from the likes of McDonald’s, Microsoft, Siemens, Cisco Systems and Wolters Kulwer. The role of the steering committee is to ensure the network remains true to its goal in creating a safe space for heads of events to share the unique challenges they face running global events teams delivering large portfolios of experiences.

The inaugural ELX Annual Congress will take place Feb. 1-3 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. Attendance is exclusively for leaders of scaled, international corporate event programs and already has senior event leaders attending from companies including Allianz, Baker McKenzie, Google, MacDonalds, Microsoft, T-Mobile and Walmart.
