Event Leaders Exchange and Freeman Form Strategic Partnership to Benefit Corporate Meeting and Event Leaders

February 13, 2023

Global events agency Freeman has partnered with Event Leaders Exchange (ELX), an Explori-backed initiative and professional global community for senior corporate event leaders to share ideas and industry insights, discuss issues and engage in powerful, actionable conversations that lead to progress.

Announced on Jan. 25, the initiative enables ELX members to have direct access to Freeman’s data, strategists and innovations that are shaping the way people experience and interact with brands.

“Audiences today are more selective and protective of their time, so creating brand experiences that truly resonate with them is more vital than ever,” said Adam Charles, executive vice president, Freeman Agency. “Freeman is excited to share the ‘how’ behind the powerful stories our agency creates that make people laugh, see differently, imagine the impossible and collaborate with each other.”

He added, “ELX is bringing together a top-notch community of event leaders, and together, we can learn from and benefit each other through the shared knowledge and connection this initiative provides.”

As part of this partnership, Freeman recently joined ELX at its inaugural Annual Congress, a new annual gathering that attracts global heads from some of the largest brands in the world to tackle the most pressing issues facing the meetings and events industry.

At the event, which was held Feb. 1-3 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, Freeman hosted a discussion group, “Aligning Business Events with Your Company’s Sustainability Goals.”

“Sustainability is a critical topic as the events industry looks to the future,” Charles said. “As one of the first event companies to sign the Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge, we [wanted to lead] a dialogue about how the industry can adapt from all sides of the value chain—across client, agency and event logistics.”

Freeman is just the latest events industry leader to support the ELX community.

In December, ELX’s announced that it had inked a new sponsorship agreement with The Opus Group, a global agency network and partner for the world’s most influential brands, to provide ELX members with an agency perspective on experience design and strategy.

Other ELX partners include RAI Amsterdam, Augeo, ExCel London and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

“Freeman was a must-have inaugural partner for us,” said Chloe Richardson, ELX managing director. “As a trusted industry leader with a deep bench of portfolio work, Freeman brings a wealth of expertise and know-how to spark meaningful discussions that will ignite our community around the issues that are most critical to the events industry.”

She added, “Freeman has the scale and influence to help make new ideas actionable. For these reasons, we are thrilled to announce their partnership with ELX.”

Comprising an invitation-only community of more than 60 C-suite global event leaders from companies such as Allianz, Cisco, Google, Siemens, T-Mobile and Walmart who come together to share ideas, receive industry insights, solve problems and engage in strategic, actionable conversations, the growing ELX network strives to evolve and drive positive change within the industry.

Delivering a comprehensive community offering that includes industry outreach, community benchmarking, online think tanks, live events, exclusive content and whitepapers, as well as community-produced reports and frameworks, ELX is facilitated by industry veterans Kimberly Meyer, David Kliman, Mark Brewster and Richardson.
