DoubleTree by Hilton Vail Hotel Opens, Expands Hilton Footprint

March 6, 2018

Hilton has expanded its hotel footprint into Vail, Colorado. On Mar. 1, the DoubleTree by Hilton Vail opened for business. The completely renovated landmark property, located less than two miles from Vail Ski Resort, features 116 modern guest rooms with complimentary WiFi and 2,782 square feet of meeting and banquet facilities.

The property offers three event spaces. The Terrace Ballroom features 1,935 sq. ft. of event space and can accommodate up to 200 guests theater-style or for a reception. The ballroom overlooks the patio and pool area, which can be booked as an adjoining option for an indoor/outdoor event experience.

Meetings and events for smaller groups can be housed in either the Wildwood conference room, which provides 528 sq. ft. of space, or the 330-square-foot Executive Board Room, with plug and play business amenities. All meeting rooms have audio-visual capabilities and access to full catering options.

Notable is the property’s use of co-working network Proximity.Space. More than 100 co-working spaces across the U.S. are part of the network, but the DoubleTree by Hilton Vail offers the first co-working space in Vail. Guests and locals alike will be able to book the space through the Proximity.Space network.

Vail’s mayor, Dave Chapin, is pleased about the DoubleTree by Hilton brand expanding the choices for lodging and events in the town. He is also excited about the co-working space.

“The Hilton brand not only stands for excellence, it is also grounded in innovative thinking – and we’re looking forward to partnering with them to lead the co-working space movement in Vail, an offering which will be useful to both guests and local residents,” Chapin stated.

Guests have several dining options on-property. Westside Café serves casual American classics, Casa Mexico is open for lunch and dinner, and the soon-to-open premier restaurant, Pivot62, will feature meals prepared from locally sourced ingredients. Guests can also soon enjoy grab-n-go delights or room service from the Colorado Made Market, perfect for a quick breakfast or take-away lunch to enjoy on the mountain.

Located 33 miles from Eagle County Regional Airport, the DoubleTree by Hilton Vail offers onsite ski rental and a complimentary shuttle to Vail Village and Lionshead.  Guests can unwind with the hotel’s wide variety of on-site offerings, including the massage treatment rooms and soon-to-open outdoor heated pool, hot tub and rustic outdoor fireplace.

“DoubleTree by Hilton Vail welcomes guests with a refreshingly affordable retreat and newly renovated hotel, where they can take in all that the alpine village has to offer while also enjoying our first-class service and amenities, all starting with our signature, warm DoubleTree Cookie,” said Shawn McAteer, global head and senior vice president, DoubleTree by Hilton.

To celebrate its grand opening, the DoubleTree by Hilton Vail is currently offering 1,000 Hilton Honors reward points per night for rooms booked between Apr. 1 and Jun. 30, 2018 with stays completed by Jun. 30, 2018.
