Experience Las Vegas Foodie Life through Progressive Dining

November 3, 2017

One thing that all people have in common is the love of good food. Las Vegas-based Lip Smacking Foodie Tours has leveraged that universal gastronomic passion to create a different type of group dining experience.

Similar to the progressive dinners of yore, Lip Smacking Foodie Tours provides groups with the opportunity to try multiple restaurants all within a single evening. Tours last from two and a half to three hours, and include stops at up to five of the top restaurants on the Las Vegas Strip or in the city’s historic Downtown.

Participants receive VIP treatment, with immediate seating in choice locations. Each restaurant showcases 3-4 of its signature dishes, giving guests a variety of options. The tour also features some sightseeing and educational opportunities, including guides sharing insider information on Las Vegas and the local sights while walking from venue to venue.

The multiple locations create more opportunities for social interaction than a typical dinner, as guests can move around and spend time with different members of the group at each stop.

Donald Contursi, president of Lip Smacking Foodie Tours, is enthusiastic about providing dine-around options to the meetings market.

“Lip Smacking Foodie Tours provides participants a VIP dining experience in Las Vegas and the new dinner and a show that most clients have yet to experience: they end up talking about the event for days,” said Contursi.

He added, “It’s serendipitous when groups foster relationships as they sit next to different people at each stop with the opportunity to eat, drink and bond together.”

Bethany Courchene, group and incentive meeting planner for WEX Health, was looking for something a little different to do for a corporate event. She settled upon a Lip Smacking tour and it did not disappoint – Courchene and her group were pleased with the entire experience.

“It is not easy to move 60 people around, keep them entertained and happy, and the Foodie tour did that and more,” Courchene said.

She continued, “The restaurants were well prepared, the food was excellent, and I cannot say enough positive things about Donald and the Lip Smacking team.”

Initially marketed to leisure travelers, the tours have gained popularity among corporate groups. Other companies that have provided glowing reviews of the tours include Hilton, Deloitte, Genentech, Schneider Electric and Southwest Airlines.

Lip Smacking Foodie Tours offers afternoon group experiences for up to 100 attendees, small group weekend brunches and a variety of evening tours for up to 75 people, although restaurants vary. Per person pricing includes the tour guide, all meals and gratuities. Additional options include signature drinks, a Las Vegas show and a helicopter tour provided by Maverick Helicopters.
